The Narrow Gates are a collection of super-stable bluespace wormholes stationed all around the galaxy. Due to their unusual behavior as wormholes and notoriously difficult to reach entrances, their use has historically been relegated to the desperate, cocky, or insane.

Each Narrow Gate is connected to every other. Once a traveler has passed beyond the threshold of a Narrow Gate for the first time, they are sent to one of the gate's preferred locations, which is somewhere near one or more gates of a small list. However, this infuses the travelers' vessels with a poorly-studied energy that seems to allow subsequent entrances to Narrow Gates to instead cycle through exits in a predictable order, allowing travelers to reach any Narrow Gate they wish.
